What an interesting concept. It appears to be Christians taking on the strategy which liberals have been using for decades.
Things I like about their philosophy:
*Since the Church always exists within a larger culture, understanding that secular institutions can have a great influence on the beliefs of believers.
*You have to change institutions from the inside (opponents of our faith have done a great job with this).
*Have a plan to get people who want to live out their faith into positions where they can make a difference, using their strengths.
*Long term perspective of what is needed to affect change.
*Creating an opportunity for people to belong to something bigger than themselves while helping to make the country better.
Things I would be cautious about:
*I think it would be easy to begin operating in a grey area where religious and political ideologies begin to look like each other.
*A chance that obtaining the objective would create pressure to use means which wouldn’t be seen as so Christian
*An outward perception of wanting to create a theocracy which could turn people away from the Christ.
