How am I to feel when I got baptized at my Baptist Church, and now I am entering RCIA and cannot get baptized again to become Catholic?

You are not baptized as a Baptist or as a Catholic or any other Christian faith that accepts the Trinity. You are baptized as a follower of Christ. The Baptismal rite says “I baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”. It does not say “I baptize you as a Catholic”. Only one Baptism is necessary.

I find it sad that some other Christian faiths do not accept that.

I was trying to be diplomatic here. I find it heartening the Catholic Church accepts most baptisms. The problem was the priest. He was here a short time and left the area. There are other things I could write but I won’t.

I will probably continue in the Espiscopal tradition although I will swap to the Anglican side of the Episcopal faith as I tend to lean conservative.

Thanks so much,
