How are we suppose to feel about Osama Bin Laden's death?

Maybe the question is, how would Jesus feel? I know this guy is seriously evil, and anyone who knows anything about Islam, well I’m sure you know it’s not much different than Osama. How though, are we suppose to feel about his death? Are we suppose to be happy he is dead? I can’t help but feel relieved, but I am not sure if happieness is a just feeling about his death? What would Jesus feel? What is the Christian way to deal with this news?

my original reaction is felt guilty i was glad he was dead. then wished they would not have shown celebrations on tv and will make more terrorists want to come here and kill us. glad they got him but fear this is far from over, and i fear for our future . 🤷
 
Pain comes before healing.

But anyways…

…I’m not happy that Usama (that’s a correct spelling) is dead, but happy because we’ve made progress in this war against terrorism.

I hope he had a deathbed conversion though. I really do. I hope he’s not suffering the eternal death. I hope no one does.
 
Personally, I’m quite scared about what will happen next. I fear for the safety of American citizens. Retaliation is a real threat. And I agree that our news media showing “celebrations” on the part of the American people are not a good thing. We didn’t much like it when we saw throngs in the Middle East rejoicing over the success of the 9-11 attacks.
 
This is a difficult one as i understand that many americans possibly is feeling relief and even gratitude.

Like with many before him, he did some terrible things and caused much pain, damages and lost lives. An enormous amount of people has died since 2001 and i am thinking and pray for everyone of them. Now also Bin Laden included.

Why? Because he was a human being and the Lord tells us clearly in the scriptures that we also should love our enemies. No matter what.

The really sad thing is that dialogue and sense did not work with Bin Laden or with any other known as unknown terrorists as it had costed and will continue to cost so many innocent lives.

I can not or will not feel any pleasure that he is dead, as it is a tragedy that it had to go this far with him and any other terrorists before as well as after him. I am against taking lives or wish anyone dead.

As others, i am concerned for what will happen now as we can and should expect retaliation. Not just on US citiziens around the world, but all citizens around the world.

Catholics as well as the everyday man and woman could very easily become targets.
We need to look after each other, pray and trust in God and HIS guidances from day to day.

God bless you all in these very testing times (it has been so for a while now).
 
I can bet that he did not have a conversion before he died; we all know he was behind many terrorist acts around the world that killed thousands of people including Muslims. You’d have to be a rock to not know he was evil. I don’t think we will be resting on our laurels, but the head of the snake has been cut off.

Relieved, Proud of our country. Grateful for the immense courage and professionalism of the elite SEALS Team Six. Pity for a man who wasted his life in repeated calls to destroy innocent life and corrupt the souls of others, along with his own.

Any other quesitons? 😉
 
Feel joy for the accomplishment of America, but not joy at his death. He was an evil man reponsible for the deaths of thousands. But he was still a human being nonetheless. He of course deserved what he got though. If anybody deserves death, it’s him.

As for the terrorists being mad, the terrorists had to know that we would be glad for his demise. Besides, we can’t just let them roam freely simply because we’re afraid of retaliation. If we do that, then the terrorists have already won, and it sends a message across the world that it’s acceptable to behave that way.

Besides, they’re terrorists, they’re always mad. They were already mad at us, if you recall, they’re the ones that started this whole thing.
