How can I answer objections to the Church's wealth?

Do you have any facts and figures/arguments against accusations that the Vatican is such a wealthy and corrupt organisation that should distribute its’ money to the poor. Am trying to answer two young lapsed Catholics who have been led astray at University and are now very anti the church they were brought up in. Thanks
