I may not be able to become a catholic monk/nun until I die,
But I am very eager to learn the same classes as they learned…

Can someone please help me, what do they learn in a convent/monastery?

Can you provide a curriculum, so that I can try to imitate myself.

Thank you very much, God bless ?

Aside from the Theology of the Religious Life, they learn the history of their congregation; Bible; Catechism; Magisterium; spiritual classics; Patristics; and whatever else the superior thinks they need (known as continuing animation). I know of one charity congregation whose superior was known as the Community Animator.

I once saw a picture of Poor Clare Colettines sitting in the speak room. The superior had a blackboard there with the word, “Logic” and it’s definition. From what may have been the same publication, the author spoke of the Postulant band being asked to go out and look at dead leaves. They were having a lesson on death, and I’m assuming how they were to welcome it. Then in an article on the college basketball player Pennefather, she told her old coach that she embraced death when he commented on her looking gaunt.

Simply put, READ everything you can get your hands on regarding the life, including the documents of Vatican II.

Blessings,
