How can my Church get more kids involved?

I am trying to come up with ways to reach out and get more youth involved in our Church. I was thinking of creating a Facebook account for my Parish but am not sure what programs we can put in. Does anyone have suggestions on what functions or programs we can install? Thank you.

Maybe get kids to take part in making sack lunches for the poor. Not actually in the distribution of them but actually making them and explain to them what is taking place and who they are for. Pool parties and youth get togethers. Do things like the cub scouts used to do like build bird houses(charity in it’s own right for animals). Classes to teach children skills and maybe even contests.

We will be soon having oiur first family game night at our church. Bringing the parish together socially is a great step to getting people to be more active.
