Please indulge me here. I could not figure out how to post this as a new thread, but I want to share my new insight. I would be ever so grateful if you would read it and post it if you agree.
In researching the question “how can non-Catholic Christians be saved?” one of the things I did was study and research “Dominus Iesus” (English: The Lord Jesus) is a declaration by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Though well documented with Sacred Scripture, what it lacked was a clear, explicit reference from Sacred Scripture stating non-Catholic Christians can be saved.
That verse is 1 Tim 4:10 “For this we toil and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the savior of all, especially of those who believe.”
This thought is also supported by Acts 10:34 “Then Peter proceeded to speak and said, “In truth, I see that God shows no partiality. 35 Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and acts uprightly is acceptable to him.”
Quoting from Dominus Iesus: “If it is true that the followers of other religions can receive divine grace, it is also certain that objectively speaking they are in a gravely deficient situation in comparison with those who, in the Church, have the fullness of the means of salvation.”
We need to get the Word out to our non-Catholic brothers and sisters and to all humanity. Grace is free salvation is not. Salvation requires acceptance of what is free and obedience through faith in action. Want proof. See below for just a few of the, perhaps dozens, verses from Sacred Scripture that reveal the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
Genesis 4:7 “If you act rightly, you will be accepted; but if not, sin lies in wait at the door: its urge is for you, yet you can rule over it.”
Genesis 22:15 "A second time the angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven 16 and said: “I swear by my very self—oracle of the Lord—that because you acted as you did in not withholding from me your son, your only one, 17 I will bless you and make your descendants as countless as the stars of the sky and the sands of the seashore; your descendants will take possession of the gates of their enemies, 18 and in your descendants all the nations of the earth will find blessing, because you obeyed my command.”
Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I command? 47 I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. 48 That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built. 49 But the one who listens and does not act is like a person who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against it, it collapsed at once and was completely destroyed.”
Luke 12:47 That servant who knew his master’s will but did not make preparations nor act in accord with his will shall be beaten severely; 48 and the servant who was ignorant of his master’s will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly.
John 3:34 “For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God. He does not ration his gift of the Spirit. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.”
John 14:12 “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.”
James 1:22 “Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his own face in a mirror. 24 He sees himself, then goes off and promptly forgets what he looked like. 25 But the one who peers into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, such a one shall be blessed in what he does.”
1 John 3:7 “Children, let no one deceive you. The person who acts in righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 Whoever sins belongs to the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. Indeed, the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is begotten by God commits sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot sin because he is begotten by God. 10 In this way, the children of God and the children of the devil are made plain; no one who fails to act in righteousness belongs to God, nor anyone who does not love his brother.”
Thus, here is the deception of Protestantism. We don’t get to pick and choose which of the truths in Sacred Scripture we want to believe. All of it is true.
Any doctrine that conflicts with even a single word of sacred scripture is inherently flawed, and intrinsically evil. To deny this is to deny the fullness of the means of salvation.
Anyone who denies any part of scripture or comes up with a partially true doctrine deserves the rebuke of Jesus Christ himself in Matthew 16:23 He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle to me. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do.”
