How can any Church that claims to believe in God and the bible support this kind of nonsense. The bible is set in stone and doesn’t change. It seems like instead of people finding religion so to speak, they are just creating their own and thinking it will be ok.

It’s what happens when they have no guarantee of the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Just because people read the Bible doesn’t mean they are going to understand it or apply its principles as God intended. They think they are being “loving” by doing this. These days sloppy sentiment has taken the place of reason and truth. This will not happen in the Catholic Church, not because our people are any less gullible than the rest of society, but because the Church was founded by Christ in truth with the promise that the “gates of hell will not prevail against it” and that the Apostles and their successors would be guided in matters of faith and morals by the Holy Spirit until Christ returns. No other faith body can make the same claim.
