Thank you,It seems to me you are asking for is a fundamentalist approach to scripture.
Certitude is a very tough thing to have. Even the Church leaves the door open for various interpretations, within the boundary of Tradition.
I always like Pope Benedict’s “dark passages” in Verbum Domini.

Par 42
Any question about difficult Scripture passages must go through the person of Christ, because Christ is the word incarnate and the fulfillment of all things.
I’m unsure what you mean by a “fundamental approach”?
If you mean that TRUTH has to be; can only be, singular per defined Faith and or, Moral issue; and such must conform to RCC teachings, then we agree.
If you mean that We and the bible HAVE to permit the individuals to self interpret God’s Word, which history shows to be soul endangering; given the multiplicity of competing sets of DIFFERING Faith beliefs under the banner of Protestantism; then, because such a position lacks a moral, biblical and theological basis, I disagree. {1 Peter 1:19-20}
The document you shared states the following::
***"The Interpretation Of Sacred Scripture In The Church
The Church as the primary setting for biblical hermeneutics [29-30]
“The soul of sacred theology” [31]
The development of biblical studies and the Church’s magisterium [32-33]
The Council’s biblical hermeneutic: a directive to be appropriated [34]
The danger of dualism and a secularized hermeneutic [35]
Faith and reason in the approach to Scripture [36]
Literal sense and spiritual sense [37]
The need to transcend the “letter” [38]
The Bible’s intrinsic unity [39]
The relationship between the Old and the New Testaments [40-41]
The “dark” passages of the Bible [42]
Christians, Jews and the sacred Scriptures [43]
The fundamentalist interpretation of sacred Scripture [44]
Dialogue between pastors, theologians and exegetes [45]
The Bible and ecumenism [46]
Consequences for the study of theology [47]
The saints and the interpretation of Scripture [48-49]***"
In other words, if one’s understanding of the Bible {entrusted directly and exclusively to the RCC"} do not fully align; such a position needs to be changed.
This is FULLY supported by the Key’s and the Bible and their authority of Godly protection. …Mt 16:18-19
John 17:17-20 Jesus giving HIMSELF as Her warranty of Infallibility on ALL matters of Faith and Morals
Mt 28: 18-20
cf: "YOU go out to the entire world & teach tehm ALL that I have taught and commanded YOU; and I promise to be with YOU until the end of time. Amen:thumbsup:
And this conforms with the “Dark Passage”
I do appreciate you taking the time to sahre your thoughts,
God Bless you
