I would love to make a list of Jewish contributions to the world, but then you’d probably just tell me how I’m wrongly crediting the Jewish people with stuff just because I’m a philo-semitist.

Yes, it’s a shame your previous attempts in this thread to downplay Christianity’s contributions to the world means that a) you are happily using a double standard in order to attempt to make a witty comment or b) you’re going to have to post an additional comment in this thread in response to your above making a similar claim about attributing something to Christianity. Other than ending up having to argue with yourself (I assume you aren’t using a double standard), good attempt at humor.

The Church’s traditional doctrine of the separate spheres of Church and State is different from the Enlightenment idea of the separation of Church and State. The Enlightenment idea is that there should be no State recognition or promotion of religion. The Church rejects this.

The Church’s idea of the separate spheres of Church and State can be summarized in three ideas: one, State leaders and Church leaders have different roles in society, two, these roles sometimes overlap, three, Church leaders and State leaders should do whatever they morally can do to support each other’s activities whenever those activities are morally good.
