A friend went to an Eastern Orthodox wedding, she said lots of things were repeated 3 times besides sign of the cross.I know 3 stands for the holy trinity, but why so many times?
Lots of things in the Divine Liturgy are repeated three times, and even multiples thereof (repeating three sets of three repetitions, as is the case with “Lord Have Mercy”), so it isn’t just an occurrence in the wedding, and it really does just symbolize the Trinity.
