How do Catholics explain the paranormal?

And here is the difference between us. You look down on me as a poor lost soul, just because I follow I different religion. I’m not on here trying to convert you to my religion. My religion teaches we all worship the ultimate god, just in different ways. Your God is just another face of the ultimate god, just like mine. The only difference is how we worship it. Your own path of spiritual developement is more structured while mine is more explorative.

I hope some day you begin to be less condescending to other religions. Hail og Sael.

The difference between you and I, within the parameters of your reasoning, is that I am trying to convert and convince you that wicca is not a benevolent or inocuous “religion” but an evil doctrine of demons.
We do not worship the same or ultimate god. The god that is lying to you is Lucifer. Jesus Christ on the other hand is the One, True Lord and God of all. You can’t change that. Your “god” is no god at all.

There is only one path and that is still Jesus Christ. Your god is Lucifer and that is why I am not condescending towards you but prayerful towards you and genuinely concerned for your soul…

You didn’t read my thread if you are asking this. Be that as it may,

I know more than enough about your’s and other doctrines of demons to formulate deliverance prayers. These prayers ( by God’s mercy) have helped many.

I truly, truly pray for God’s grace, mercy and blessing upon you. I really do. That the demons that disturb you may flee at the presence of St. Michael the Archangel. I rebuke them to the foot of the cross where Jesus sheds his blood-let the Lord dispose of them.

I did read it. You didn’t point out any way there are flaws in my logic, all you did was point out that you are trying to “save” me, something evident from every post you have on this thread.

Also, you know nothing about my religion. All you know is what you have been told by other Christians. Do you know what we beleave about God? About the afterlife? About spirits or magic? if you want I can start a thread to explain what we actualy beleave. But then again you probably don’t care.

I was baptized catholic, confirmed, and had 13 years of catholic education. I’ve seen and learned and practiced your religion and It is not for me. That said I still respect it, a fealing you do not share for my religion.

I won’t pretend to know anything about Wiccanism, but I will say this: With the type of “catechesis” most people are taught, they tend to become MORE likely to leave the faith than otherwise.

I was a Catholic for my entire life, but my theology teacher (who had three Masters in various Catholic/religious studies and was going for his fourth in Bioethics) during my Sophomore and Senior years of High School basically dismantled every concept I previously had about Catholicism and threw them away, and then started over. If he hadn’t taught me what the Church REALLY taught as opposed to what I learned in my CCD classes I would almost certainly be an atheist right now.

But then, I don’t actually know what your catechesis was like. That’s just my story.

Anyway, since I know very little about Wicca, a thread where you explain my beliefs would definitely be interesting.

Very interesting story, I was actualy raised catholic and went a full 13 years in catholic education. There realy isn’t a catechism of Wicca as it is a very diverse and unstructured group, however I think I will try to summarize the general practices. Although it is very different from Christianity, it’s not evil, we still seek to know god and be good people. I’ll try to put something together. If all else fails I can atleast count how many prayers people post for me in the responses
