How do I answer this simple philosophical argument against the existence of God?

This was posited to me earlier today in another web forum.

“An omnipotent God cannot exist because if he existed he would be subject to the laws of existence - time, space, etc. An omnipotent god cannot be subject to any laws by definition”

It is one of those things that is right on the tip of my tongue but I cant quite put it into words. Help!
 
Dear V,

God’s essence is existence. To exist is who He is. Such is not being subject to a law. His existence depends on nothing other than Himself. There are no laws (of existence or otherwise) that are not subject to Him. He alone is necessary being. All else is expendable. Time and space are His creations and are dependent on Him.
