How do I become a Maronite Catholic?

As a Roman Catholic with much love toward Lebanon and its saints, I would love to convert and become a member of the Maronite Catholic church. Is it possible, and how it should be done? I am living in a country with no Maronite church though.

The Maronite church is part of the universal Catholic Church, as is the Latin church (sometimes called the Roman Catholic church). If you entered the Maronite church, you would not be “converting” but changing canonical churches.

A Latin-rite Catholic need not switch canonical churches to experience Maronite Catholic worship. He need merely go to a Maronite Catholic church since he may receive Communion there and since the Maronite divine liturgy satisfies the Sunday and holy day obligations.

In any event, you apparently do not have access to a Maronite Catholic church in your country. If you move to an area in which you have access to a Maronite church, you may consider looking into the process of changing canonical churches, but until then you will have to continue going to a Catholic church in your area (be it Latin or Eastern Catholic) to meet your Catholic obligations. However, if you wish, you may certainly continue to steep yourself in Lebanese culture and Maronite Catholic culture and spirituality.
