How do I defend life in this situation?

I was having a discusion with a friend (we are both teens) and the topic of abotion came up. i thought i was ready to rpond to any pro choice arguments, but then my friend came up with a big ‘what if’.

Basically, she wants to know if in the case that the mother is a crack addict and has aids ore something, if it would be more merciful to abort the baby. i told her it wouldnt be, but she argues that it would be cruel to make the baby live a short painful life and to make the mother go through the pain of both birth and watching her child die.

i still stand by that the baby deserves a chance at life, but how do i respond to that?

Hi Abbey,

Good for you. You were right on! Only God, the Author of life, has the right to take it. We can take life to protect the innocent. But we cannot take the innocent’s life.
To deliberately take the life of the innocent is murder. We have no right to do that. We trust God’s wisdom and we don’t take such matter into our own hands.
