My daughter is having a difficult pregnancy in Missouri where she lives with her husband and daughter. The grandparents live in Florida near each other. She wants to get the baby baptized in FL when she comes for a summer visit in June. The local priest will do it but needs both their baptism records. Her church, St. John’s Byzantine Greek Catholic Church in Glenburn, Pa closed a long time ago. His I believe is still there. How do they get a copy of their baptism records?
Thanks,

Anytime a church closes someone becomes responsible for their sacramental records. Sometimes a nearby church obtains the sacrament books and other times the diocese takes the records. Your best bet is to call the diocese and ask.

As far as I can tell, Byzantine parishes in Pennsylvania would fall under the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic.

Failing that, the church where she got married should have a record of where she was baptized and perhaps that might work for the priest in question.
