How do I help my daughter who is scared of heaven?

Hello,

My eight year old daughter is scared of the forever-ness of heaven. I have tried to explain all the benefits of heaven and that being there forever would be wonderful. She can’t wrap her head around it. The fear started when her aunt died about 3 years ago–she doesn’t want to be “gone” as her aunt is. Any help in trying to calm her fears would be wonderful. She is praying about it too. Thanks.

Just ask her if her aunt had “gone” to Cleveland (assuming you don’t live there), would she be afraid of seeing her aunt there? Heaven is like Cleveland–only much better. Let me know how this went.
