I feel like i have blasphemed the Holy Spirit. But still, I can feel the Holy Spirit telling me things I shouldn’t do and should do. Have i still commited it?

The unforgivable sin is having such malice towards God that you die without ever repenting.

You haven’t committed it. Go to confession if you feel you’ve sinned.

but what about the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit part?

Jesus himself told us that blaspheming the Holy Spirit is unforgivable, what about it?

The unforgivable sin is when you die without repenting, ignoring the Holy Spirit’s promptings to repent in the course of. You can’t commit it while you’re still alive. At least, that’s what I was taught about it.

Jesus told the Pharisees they were in danger of comitting a sin where there would be no forgiveness (I think) the Pharisees were still alive. What does this mean?

I think it’s about hardening their heart to the Holy Spirit and calling Jesus’ miracles satanic. Hardening your heart makes it difficult to repent, ergo, unforgivable sin.

Is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit the same thing as what the pharisees said? I think I may have said those exact words, but I still want the Holy Spirit in me…

It means they were on the verge of hardening their hearts so far that Jesus could see they might cross over to the point where they’d never repent, where they’d set themselves so far from God’s Holy Spirit.

Did blaspheming the Holy Spirit ever talk about the hardening of the heart or repenting of it? That’s where I’m confused. People tell me answers that are not in the bible…

Don’t worry. If you’re worried about it, that means your heart isn’t hardened against God. The Holy Spirit is calling you to repent. Respond to Him.

And i also have another question… Did Jesus die for ALL sins? Did he not die for the unforgivable sin?

Yes, but we are required to depart from sin. Not doing that, and dying in a state of mortal sin, is the “unforgivable” sin; the sin of ignoring God’s attempts to save us through the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus.

Indeed. The Church alone has the authority to correctly interpret Scripture. But maybe the OP is not Catholic?

Yes, Jesus died for ALL sins - past, present, and future.

No, you didn’t commit the unpardonable sin, which is absolute rejection of the mercy of God.

Go in the peace of Christ, and say the Divine Mercy prayer today, “Jesus I trust in You.”
