How do I pray about a promotion at work?

I applied for a promotion a couple of months ago, it seemed they wanted me to have it but I kept turning it down for certain reasons. They have brought it up and want me to take the promotion but I’m not sure what to do, the money is negligible.

I just want to know where I would be better serving the vulnerable adults where I work, as a support worker or a shift leader. I don’t want to take the promotion and be awful.

How do I bundle this into a prayer?

What if God answers when it’s too late?

Just make your prayer, “God’s will be done!”

Don’t worry about God answering too late. That doesn’t happen. Wait and see what does happen, keep God first in your heart, and it’ll all work out. ❤️

Although coworkers can sometimes surprise you, can’t you fairly accurately determine their capabilities? Your superiors wouldn’t want to promote you if they thought you’d flunk at it. Your performance achievements in the new job will reflect upon their records. Trust their faith in your capabilities. A promotion always looks good on a resume, too, if you seek a job elsewhere in the future. I’d pray, then go for it, continue to ask God for guidance while at work, as usual, and then ask my Guardian Angel to be extra-vigilant. Like the Hand of God, they run interference for us, even when we’re unaware. 😇
 
Adding my prayer that those who seek you for a position to solve their problem to fill a position, will respect your wish to remain where you believe God intends you to serve.
God grant that the right person for their position will present soon, and that your reasons will be made clear and understand so there is no potential backlash.
Perhaps you need to be clear to them about your reasons, whic are admirable.
May God protect you.
Some of us around here who have know you for some time would be very concerned if you gave in and accepted a position that would be detrimental to who you are. You are strong not to have succumbed to any pressure to take the job.
May God guide and protect you.
