How should I refute an argument that a person being “transgender” is the result of a genetic defect? I argued scientifically that a person with a male genetic code is male, and received this argument in return.
Anyone who makes an assertion is obligated to substantiate that assertion. Ask the person to prove that transgenderism is the result of a “genetic defect.” If the assertion is substantiated satisfactorily, then you might ask whether or not it makes sense to base moral behavioral norms upon “genetic defects.”
