Hi.
My in-laws are Pentecostal and they have been trying to “convert” me by saying that they teach the REAL bible and that in order to be fully saved, you have to receive the holy spirit by speaking in tongues and that they believe that Jesus is present in the “Eucharist” – they believe that they need to work to attain salvation.
All of this sounds very very catholic and they also hold apostolic traditions and they keep telling me that I need to dress like a woman because of some verse in Deuteronomy.

Anywho,
these conversion attempts are tiring me and as a good catholic, I really just want to exemplify love, mercy, selflessness, and all the virtues the holy spirit has filled me with since my confirmation but sometimes I can’t help but feel like I am lost in my faith and I get really confused. I sometimes get sad because I begin doubting my faith even though I see so many wrongs in their church for example vanity and materialism and just – very immoral behavior.
I dont know what to do. I have asked God for guidance to show me the truth and I really need your help.
How do I combat these attacks? Am I even living the truth? Should I place my beliefs on them and fight back? Is that wrong of me since I should love everyone equally and show mercy and forgiveness. I know that if I try to “evangelize” them they will be ignorant to the truth and respond with sola scriptura…
I don’t know. I am praying to my mother Mary and my God for their immediate conversion to the truth. But I am lost. Please help!
