How do I stop looking at girls on my swim team?

I’m a 14-year-old boy on a local swim team. My team has both guys and girls and we have to wear racing suits. These suits are immodest. Also, there is a girl on the team who I am good friends with and who I am attracted to. It seems sinful to be on the team because of these things and that I find myself looking at girls a lot. I try to keep focused on swimming but it is hard. What should I do?

You’re an athlete. Athletes must discipline their bodies through the exercise their sport demands if they want to be good at their sport. Discipline your eyes by consistently looking away whenever you find yourself looking immodestly at a girl. If you are unable or unwilling to do that, then you and your parents may have to reconsider whether you can continue to participate on the team.
