How do make up your own

hi everyone…

has anyone here ever made up their own chaplet for a saint / mary etc

how do go about composing it?

i want to make some little chaplets up for my favourite saints

st maria goretti,
st eulalia
etc

plus i like praying for the dying and for the holy souls in purgatory so i would like to make a special chaplet for these aswell

i don’t know how to start or what to add, or how many prayers to use

any help you can give will be totally appreciated

I’ve never composed my own, but it seems that typical prayers and ordering to use are
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, x3
Our Father x3, Hail Mary x3, Glory Be x3
Our Father, Hail Mary x10, Glory Be

Usually a special prayer to the saint is added at the end. I’d suggest trying different orders, different prayers, see which feels right. Don’t be afraid to shake it up even more, the Divine Mercy chaplet begins with Hail Mary, Our Father, Apostles’ Creed (as i recall). Have fun and God bless!

After that, you can, perhaps, use the model of some of these existing chaplets to compose your own…
