Is there a correct way of consuming the Eucharist? I flip the Consecrated Host to prevent it from sticking to my paletes. How can we really consume it correctly? Can we chew it?

Chewing is fine.

In fact the Greek word for eating the body of Christ, used in John Chapter 6, means to gnaw or chew.

Be at peace, and receive the broken body and precious blood of our savior with great joy!

If you are concerned about it sticking to your palate it’s probably best to chew to prevent that.

You can chew it. Just don’t spit it out.

More importantly, when you receive the sacrament, focus on the sacrament prayerfully. Granted, that’s not always easy. Some parents have multiple kids they need to keep eyes on, for example, so it’s understandable if they do their best. But, so far as you’re able and circumstances permitting, don’t have your mind on other things or chores or errands. Focus on Christ.

That’s scrupulous. Jesus just said whoever loves me keeps my commandments and to eat the Eucharist frequently.

The MOST important thing IMO is that the
taking of Communion is “in memory of Me
(Jesus)” We are a Covenant ppl and we
enter again into our covenantal vows we
made at Conversion or baptism, depending
on the christian denomination you belong
to. We made a Promise to serve God upon
RECEIVING the Promise of Eternal Life offered
to us in the Life/Death/Resurrection of the
God-man Jesus Christ(who is Lord of all).
I don’t believe one should draw the line at
whether the communion is actually the
flesh and blood of Christ, it is a WALL of
SEPARATION which divides more than
unite. See 1 Cor. 12:24-25
