How do we know if our reasons for NFP are just?

There are many opinions on this matter, and many people will tell others that NFP should only be used in extreme circumstances. They say things such as that families don’t need to take vacations or that kids only need basic things, women don’t need careers, etc. But how does one really know if reasons are just and not selfish?
 
You make the best decision you can with the knowledge of your personal circumstances, remain open to changing your decision should circumstances change and seem to warrant doing so, and then you trust that God knows your heart. With the exception of a priest, doctor, or trusted advisor specifically solicited for assistance, everyone else should not presume to judge anyone’s personal circumstances or to declare that anyone else’s reasons for avoiding pregnancy through NFP are not sufficiently just.
