‘’ Jesus answering, said: Amen I say to you, there is no man who hath left house or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my sake and for the gospel,Who shall not receive an hundred times as much, now in this time; houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions: and in the world to come life everlasting. ‘’
we are supposed to take the literal and spirtual sense of scripture, yet I feel that if we take the literal of both, we end up being ‘‘worse than an infidel’’.But if any man have not care of his own, and especially of those of his house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
how do we reconcile these peices of scripture with a sound commentrie or interpretation? what is the sound interpretation of these passages from the fathers? thougts anyone?
