Thinking about what a friend had told me recently I wondered how it is that we share Christ in our lives. Our words were basically a discussion of witnessing and evangelism which I have become quite accustomed to hearing over the past years. Let us share Christ, so that the people may have a personal relationship with him. Come to Christ and he will help you with your sickness, your sin, your problems. And then, what should I do? Share Christ with another I suppose. I could go to speak to more and more people each day, sharing Christ, maybe even someday preaching before millions. Is that what it means to share Christ?

At the end of the 19th century the slogan What Would Jesus Do was first publicized. At the end of the 20th century everyone wore little bracelets. But would Jesus go around and talk to people about how great he was, about how if they prayed that he might help, and then move on? Or would Jesus feed the people, maybe even work to put systems in to help the people better their lives so that they could feed themselves. I am not talking about bandaid charities but a total shift in how society works.

Would Jesus help to change inner cities where violence is extremely high or would he simply tell the people how great he was and assure them of heaven? Who would Jesus bomb? There are so many questions I could ask about this.

If Catholicism is about telling people about Christ and moving on and doing nothing about their situation why would Jesus institute a church? Who would Jesus deny?

Perhaps, you would get a lot from this article taken from this website, but one of the magazines that also is published and available through this website.

It is called the Apostolate of Being…This is just the beginning of the article.
*The most powerful way of influencing others is not by intellectual arguments—important as these may be—but what Dietrich von Hildebrand called “the apostolate of being.”

There are persons who radiate a peace and joy that, when encountered by others torn by inner conflicts and threatened by despair, leads them to raise the question: What is this person’s secret? The conflicted and despairing might know that the others are exposed to severe trials—whether physical, psychological, or spiritual. It might be living in poverty or being considered to be a failure. Yet there is a sweet perfume emanating from him that is both puzzling and winning*

Hope it gives you some ideas.

For me anyway a long time ago I started to go out speaking the word of God on the streats because my cousins showed me the place that is in the bible that tells us to do this.
HOwever one day I went into the church (catholic) and started to pray when I saw a vision of a hand on a piece of wood with a nail through it. Ilooked at it and it stayed there for some time Jesus asked me who told me to go preachng in the streats! i said that the bible tells us to. He said that I might bring one person to him and turn 1000 away if it is not my ministry.

This hit me hard He then showed me the basics in the bible telling us that "If you have two shirts give one away, If you have two pair of shoes then give one away do not count the cost. If you see your brother with no coat help him if he has no food help him… ets. Then he told me to read the story of the goats who told God that they did …and the sheep who asked God what they had done. A huge difference is that the goats told God where as the sheep asked what they had done and Jesus told them that what ever they had done to the least in Jesus name they did to Jesus. Pure christian humanaterianism simply asked of each of us.

There is the basic key to what you are asking from how I understand the bible.
I hope that this helps, it sure helped me.

God bless
