I am wondering… cos everyone has their own thing… You know, their own cause…
I often bring up God with my “real life” friends but most of the time they are not interested in entertaining a theology based conversation - and my Christian friends don’t really need preaching to (unless they are protestants)
and so I have other things, like… I make Rosary bracelets, for the car rearview, Saint or Icon medallion bracelets and always give them as gifts to people who I think may appreciate my sentiment along with a prayer card that will associate to whatever they are going through at the moment.
What I have been doing lately, is since I am a fan of a lot of musicians, I frequent fan forums. I do this because I know a lot of obsessive fans of celebrities are just putting their love for God in to the wrong thing (I was once one of those obsessive fans) because they don’t understand that they are actually searching for the love and Freedom from Christ to fill them up… So I join forums, I post a fair bit about general things and when someone has replied to me a couple times, I private message them (or even get private messaged) and extend my friendship and they always say things like, “So what do you do for fun?” … There’s my opening! So… I talk about my church activities, what I do with my friends during the week (go to mass, confession, visit different churches, say the rosary, devotionals and so forth) … Generally without fail, it opens up questions and they either are rude (but usually not) and will ask what religion I am, and what I believe and then I can talk to them about the kind of things I believe, the beliefs of the church, I share the misconceptions of Catholicism.
MOST often those individuals will share their own faith experiences, I can empathise and share my own experience of coming to God and usually I end up making a good friend with them, they tell me all their problems (i welcome this btw) and I pray for them over Private Messaging, I then check up on them as often as possible and keep speaking God’s Words over their lives.
This has proven to be EXTREMELY powerful for me. In the past two months three people that I met online have shared their phone numbers with me, and call me often to talk to me about God, to tell me whats going in their lives and I am even going to be meeting with one girl in December and will take her to this fantastic Church run by the Capuchin Friars for her first confession in years. She often talks to me about God on her own accord before, she started reading her bible again and generally wants to just turn back to The Church…

Another girl was a protestant and started asking about the difference in our beliefs and I explained everything as I knew it as well as pointed her to catholicbridge.com and she now attends a Catholic Church and is on her way to getting confirmed.
I wanted to know some of your techniques… cos I want to use my life to ALWAYS speak and honor God so that other people can come to know Him!!
