How do you evangelize to those who belong to the Baha’i faith? There are no tracts on this from Catholic answers.

Here is some info about the religion:

When they encounter us Catholics, how do we defend the true faith? For right now I argue for the literal Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
You evangelize to the Baha’i in the same way as you do toward other religious groups, by means of your own moral behavior and charity.

We should want them to come into the one sheepfold of Christ, which is the Church, (the pillar and foundation of the truth - 1 Timothy 3:15)

Nobody said we shouldn’t.
It’s just that people respond better if they at least interested.
Are you sure that these people WANT to learn more?
Maybe just show them how happy you are to be Catholic.
That’s’ the best way to evangelize.

Bahais are largely converts to the Bahai Faith from other religious backgrounds. Smaller numbers have Bahai parents, or had no religion previously. So if you want to build bridges with Bahais, the first thing to realise is that Bahais from different backgrounds are likely to have quite different ideas about Catholicism. Those from evangelical backgrounds may have anti-catholic stereotypes lurking in the subconscious somewhere, and perhaps some anti-clerical ideas (in which case I can help with quotes from the Bahai scriptures). Someone from a Protestant background might be quite focused on doctrines and Biblical proofs, and have no idea of the Catholic view of the relationship between the Bible and the Church. But you might find you are talking to a well-informed former Catholic, or a formerly Buddhist immigrant from Asia with no knowledge of Catholicism, not much interest in doctrine, and a keen interest in ritual. So the only general rule I could give you is, listen, and try to figure out where they’re coming from. If you find there’s something standing in the way of better understanding and a closer association, be the change you want to see.

The material cited above on Baha’i Faith appears fairly accurate… Generally Baha’is accept Jesus Christ as a Manifestation of God…They accept the virgin birth of Jesus. Baha’is believe Jesus was crucified however they do not believe in the physical resurrection.

The Bible is accepted as Holy Scripture…They also believe the soul begins at conception and so share some of same views. Baha’i World Center is in Haifa Israel on Mount Carmel near the Carmelites.

I of course agree with those that mentioned evangelizing by example.

However, sometimes conversations do come up, and it can be a great opportunity to share our own faith in a way that directly addresses the perspective of the person we’re speaking to. Understanding that an atheist has different concerns from a Jew or from a Calvinist or from an occultist is rather important. I believe that’s the point of view the OP is coming from.

There’s a presentation on Baha’i here: instituteofcatholicculture.org/kingdom-of-the-cults-scientology-bahai-the-masonic-lodge/.

… and for the record, I don’t really use words like “cult,” so my above link shouldn’t be seen as an endorsement of that type of language.
