How do you explain the Faith to those whose opposition is not based on the Bible, but on the flesh or feelings?

How do you talk to people that can’t stand the Church excluding non-Catholics from receiving Holy Communion, those who dislike its marriage restrictions, don’t like the rules, or restrictions on this behavior or that…etc.?

It seems a lot of famous EWTN converts cover Biblical proofs for the Faith, but who covers all the arguments by those who protest according to the flesh and/or natural (not informed by the Faith)charity? In public colleges, esp., the Faith is not challenged based on Biblical misinterpretations. I need articles, preferably concise, for busy readers or else, testimonials–both is great too, esp. free ones on a webpage!. .

Thank you and God bless you!!

One says she’s a Wesleyan Methodist. The other is Catholic, as if most really know what that means anymore outside of those who grew up in devout families and went to World Youth Days. The latter is a close relative and, except for the grace of God, there I would have gone (that is, ignorant of why we believe what we believe and how fascinating it is, thus put off by the restrictions and the rites of the Church).

Would FOCUS have the resources for post-collegiate Catholic drop-outs or those getting there? They probably deal with sophmoric arguments by those who don’t even study what they disagree with or learn about it from its haters. Are there any materials that are not dumbed-down, but not technical and maybe have the fascinating stories that trump uninformed feelings of the uninformed or those having forgotten what they learned?

Thanks!
