On 4/7/05, U.S. National-AP, Headline: (on the net)

“Jews, Mormons to meet over Baptisms” This article goes on to give more information on LDS baptism of the dead. Should we be alarmed or upset that LDS baptise nearly everyone including Catholic popes? How would you feel if you found out that your Catholic, Jew,
or other religion, (deceased) relatives are baptised in Temple ceremony?

since their baptism has no validity whatever there is no reason to react, other than to the incivility and presumption they display.

No more than if I heard someone put a voodoo curse on them. Neither has any effect whatsoever.

Peace

You can’t be baptized for someone else. You also can’t think that someone already dead can be baptized.

I find it hilarious, honestly. Their baptism isn’t real, so it’s all just a very amusing show. They can even baptise my dog if they like 😛

I am sad that they lack the truth and valid baptism. However, in their theological universe what they are doing is saving souls of non-LDS-- making it possible for them to have what LDS understand as an afterlife. So, I think they do a noble thing in that regard, misguided as it is. Doesn’t bother me on a personal level at all,

They are not Christians they are a cult. Their baptisms are not valid so the question is moot.
