is it the same as your heart’s desire?🤷
Only my personal opinion:

I think it’s more related to how the Holy Spirit helps to form and guard our consciences , which subsequently gives us a strong personal sense of conviction where moral decisions need to be made. In an expanded view, it’s an ongoing process during our lives, and in this sense the sacrament of Reconciliation which the Church provides is an invaluable resource.

In John 16: 7-16 , Jesus tells us
But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes he will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation:
sin, because they do not believe in me;
righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me;
condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned . . .
. . . But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.
A snippet from The Spiritual and Psychological Value of Frequent Confession ; Fr. John Hardon, S.J. :
The sacrament of Penance purifies our mind to recognize God’s will in every circumstance of our lives, instantly and almost without reflection. How? By the action of the Holy Spirit, whose gift of counsel enlightens the mind to know exactly what the Lord wants us to do and how to do it the moment we are faced with a moral decision.
