How do you know you have faith in God being Jesus or a God? I have come to a point where I have realized that I may or may not have been believeing in God the way I should. Thanks.

There are Three Persons in God…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. For our sake, the Father sent the Son, (Our Lord Jesus Christ) to be our Savior. We call it the Incarnation. Jesus is 100% human and 100% God.

A talk with a priest can clarify this for you

Peace…and blessings to you on your spiritual journey.

Slightly confused by this.
I think my question is how do I know if I have faith in God, meaning, if I did have faith(hypothetically) and I just didnt know it, would I say something like God made the earth and people and therefore I have faith in him?
To expand also how do I know that God exist?

Those are good and honest questions. Faith can’t be faked, and as with anything else in life unless we first acknowledge the truth regarding what we know or don’t know, we’re not going to find it in any real or meaningful way.

Faith is a supernatural gift, one that can be rejected, and one that we’re born without since knowledge of God for humanity was lost at the Fall of man. And yet faith is as natural and vitally important for us as breathing. Man was made for communion with his Maker; we’re lost without this. God seeks to draw man into this relationship, with grace but without force, just as He wouldn’t force Adam to remain faithful and obedient in the first place.

And with all grace we can respond to it, to Him, by seeking this gift even more. “I believe, help me in my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24). And as we respond, as we act in faith, as we continue to seek God, faith grows. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Heb 11:6. It’s a cooperative effort, which He initiates and then patiently continues to help us with.

Yes, it is faith to believe God made the Earth and people. He did it in a way that shows what He is like, though many people deny it. You can read this in the Bible in Romans 1. Verse 20 reads (NIV):
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

This (the Creation) is also one of the answers of how you know God exists.

Saint John tells us:

"And by this we know that we have known him, if we keep his commandments."
