How do you make an emergency novena?

Could someone explain how to make an emergency novena? Do the conditions that apply to a regular novena (that you must go to confession and Mass within a certain period of time after the novena) still apply?

Can you do an emergency novena to any saint or are there only a few certain ones, such as the Mother Theresa one, which looks like you simply say nine Memorares?

Just really confused, thank you for any help!!
 
Novenas a re a private devotion, and as such, each one has it’s own “conditions”.
Not all have the same requirements, in other words.

Interestingly enough, you mentioned the Mother Teresa Novena. Someone posted the main site for her cause, www.motherteresa.org, and I wrote them for a relic, and they sent me a couple of medals, one touched to her tomb, and many prayers, including a novena booklet, which does in fact, have a prayer for each day, concluding with the oral recitation of a main prayer, but no other requirements. With the bonus of a magnificent 2nd class relic! I am please to say that at Day 4, my request was granted. I’m now on Day 8. Thanks be to Jesus, Our Lady, Blessed Teresa, and Padre Pio.

Good luck, There are MANY Novenas online. Perhaps seek out something to a favorite patron. You probably know, St. Jude is the patron of hopeless causes. There are many beautiful devotions, I hope you find what speaks to your heart.

I have never heard of an emergency novena. A novena is nine days of prayer to a saint or The Blessed Mother or even to God Himself for a particular request or favor. There is no confession or Mass requirement; I think you have that confused with an indulgence. There are many, many novena prayers around or you can say the rosary or any other prayer, you just need to do it for nine days; the Memorare is ok.
