How does a convert find forgiveness after a vasectomy?

Dear Catholic Answers

I am a convert to Catholicism. I am sorry to say I have not followed the Church’s teaching on contraception. I have 3 kids and had a vasectomy a couple of years ago. More recently after exploring the Church’s teaching I realise its truth and my sin - my selfishness, lack of trust and lack of generosity. I confessed this in confession recently but still feel guilty and conscious of my sin. I am asking God for the grace of reassurance and discernment of ways to be generous in other areas of my life…
