How does one become an Apologist?

Hi!!

First time questioner, long time reader!! And, I have to say that I absolutely love the site. It has answered so many of my questions and it has helped me grow so much through the power of the Holy Spirit, Christ Saving love, and God’s wonderful glory! My question is really simple, at least I hope it is. But, how does one become and Apologist? I want to learn so much about my faith, but I really don’t know how to start, other than reading the forum post, the articles in This Rock, and reading the scriptures. Are there text book style learning guides for it or anything of the sort. How do most people begin?
