How does one enter monastic life?

How does one enter monastic life? I am 48 years old, but have been drawn to the spiritual Life. The last year I have detached myself from things of the world and have never been happier. I would like to serve God the rest of the time I am here,but am unsure how to accomplish this at this point in my life. THANK YOU for your suggestions and God Bless You. Joseph
 
Hi Joseph,

“Monastic life” is pretty broad. Even friars life a monastic life, even thought they are not monks and do not commit to living in only one place. I assume that you want to be a monk. Check our the link below for possible monasteries to contact for info.
