How does your priest ensure that consecrated hosts do not remain in the ciborium or tabernacle for too long?

The only time we have more than one ciborium in the tabernacle is on the weekend or on a Monday morning. If there are a lot of “leftover” hosts from the weekend the priest doing the morning masses will simply consecrate less and use what is in the tabernacle until the ciborium is empty. Usually at the Saturday morning Mass the priest here will consume the hosts left in the ciborium in the tabernacle so we start the weekend with only a few hosts left for the sick in the tabernacle.
