Well, I know how to say the Rosary, though I am new to it. But I wanted to know, when I say it, do I meditate on the mysteries? Or should I be thinking of things I intend to pray for, like sick people, etc. I know how to say it, I just want to know what I should be thinking and feeling when I say it. Thanks!🙂

The traditional way is to meditate on the mysteries, but you can cerrtainly be thinking of those you want to pray for and other intentions (prayer requests), as well.

There’s a nice little prayer you can say before beginning the first decade that you might find helpful:

Lord Jesus, I offer you these decades of the Rosary, in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for all the needs and intentions of those for whom I ought to pray and those recommended to my prayers (add whatever other prayer intentions you wish).
I ask for all the graces and blessings of these mysteries and prayers for these intentions. Amen.

Nothing to stop you doing both - think of your intention for a couple of beads and the mystery for the rest or vice versa. There’s no rigidly defined way to do it.
