Please name 3 things the Catholic Church (religion) has done for you that no other church could…
Thanks. God bless…
Thanks. God bless…
That last one is interesting…It has provided me with Jesus’ saving Truth and the one path to salvation.
It has taught me authentic charity, morality, and true human dignity.
It has taught me to love the Cross and the power of humility and patience.
Have you ever spent much time at the Blessed Sacrament (especially the Exposed Sacrament)? The bond between us and Jesus really gets strong there… The longer we are there, the stronger and more wonderful it gets… (after u get all the “dross” burnt off, that is… !!I have the opportunity to receive the Body and Blood of Our Lord daily. I cannot imagine anything that could deepen the intimacy of our relationship.
Gave me a Spiritual Director from Spain who was exactly the person I needed at that moment in my life. (What other Church in the world can just scoop somebody up from the other side of the world and bring him to you without even blinking, let alone without some heartrending tale of woe concerning the cost of airfare that you would then be guilt-tripped into paying?)Please name 3 things the Catholic Church (religion) has done for you that no other church could…

I’ve been in the Church and out and frankly, i do believe we need the Church in order to have the things you mention…Coming to know Jesus in the Eucharist put me in touch with the inner workings of his heart–with his love for not only me and mine, but for everyone.
Catholicism taught me compassion for everyone–especially those unattractive to me.
Catholicism forced me to face the truth about myself, to see myself as God sees me, not as I would like to be thought of by him or anyone else.
I’m not saying Protestants cannot have these things, but that I needed the Church in order to find them.
Are you saying the Catholic Church is the only path to salvation? It has provided me with Jesus’ saving Truth and the one path to salvation.
It has taught me authentic charity, morality, and true human dignity.
It has taught me to love the Cross and the power of humility and patience.
