Hello,

According to Catholic Doctrine, which I firmly adhere, Christ is fully present in the Eucharist, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

Is there a place in Catholic Doctrine or some other authoritative text that tells us the nature of Christ’s suffering when the Eucharist is desecrated?

Is He harmed physically, or is He just offended at the sacrilege committed against Him, or is it both?

Thanks in Advance,

Hi,

We can’t harm Jesus. When He lived on earth He allowed people to injure His body in His passion for their benefit. But since His resurrection we can do Him no harm. To knowlingly dishonor Him it to harm ourselves.
