Conversion can be looked at two ways only: God converts us, or we convert ourselves. No evangeliser converted us. Colloquially we might attribute it to their marvellous witness but they probably didn’t know it.
Anyway the biggest conversion that’s needed is ongoing conversion.
Also, St Paul says, one sows and another reaps. If they need an idea given them, you can leave it with them, for as long as they like. Alternatively someone might approach you because someone already told them something that continues to intrigue them and they want to know a little more.
Proselytising can be by flattery and wheedling. Jesus slammed the Pharisees because they travelled over land and sea just to proselytise one person and make that person worse than themselves.
The church should have trained you somewhat, in groups. I think this is exceedingly rare.
I sort-of had belief early in life. Somehow it hasn’t quite got shaken entirely off. No-one ever won an argument with me on any religious subject. Occasionally the odd person demonstrated for me the existence of the Paraclete.
