How many chaplets?

does anyone know of any other rosaries or chaplets that have promises attached to them…

does anyone have a devotion to any of those i’ve mentioned here…

i would like to get back in to praying the chaplet of divine mercy…the rosary of the holy wounds and the chaplet of unity of jesus, king of all nations interest me too…but i don’t know how long it will take me to learn the prayers until i have them memorised…(i have the chaplet of divine mercy memorised)

I just discovered the chaplet to St Michael and am interested in learning that one. I probably won’t even make an effort to memorize another one until next year. I need to really take the time to learn and become comfortable with new devotional practices.

I have problem memorizing prayers in English. I know just enough to pray the Rosary in English; all other prayers must be read from books while I pray.

While I know we had the image of Our Lord of Divine Mercy in the house, as well as Sr. Faustina’s book, I can only say I WISH I’d known to say it before my Mother’s recent passing. I haven’t got it memorized yet - but if you got to your search engine, and put in Chaplet of Divine Mercy (I think) there’s one site that literall has a checklist next to each prayer, so with or without rosary, you can check each prayer off in front of the screen…I’m not sure, however, if you must have rosary in hand for it to count.

I’m also glad to hear someone mention the Rosary of the Holy Wounds, as I hadn’t seen it mentioned here yet. It’s short and so easy.

However, there are numerous chaplets - one to St. Anne de Beaupre, one to the Infant Jesus of Prague, and one to the Blessed Sacrament. These do not use regular rosary beads but are special chaplets of their own. Further, I think there are many others - perhaps just researching by putting in “chaplets of _____” whatever saint you’re looking for.

I LOVE the chaplet of Divine Mercy! :extrahappy: I’m reading St. Faustina’s Diary now – it’s so beautiful and wonderful.

I’ve recently started saying the Rosary, not daily, but almost.
I don’t know the Rosary of Holy Wounds - I’m sure I can find it online, but if anyone wants to share it here that would be great…

Someone on CAF recommended this once (sorry, I don’t remember who):

In addition to the Divine Mercy Chaplet Our Lord asked St. Faustina that if time permitted for her to also pray at the Hour of Mercy (3pm) the Stations of the Cross or “Mercy Stations” as they are also referred to.

They are very much like the Stations of the Cross and are prayed this way:

Before each station say: “Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.”

After meditating briefly on each station one says: “have mercy on us and on the whole world.”

And you continue in the same pattern of the “Eternal Father…” meditation on the Mercy station…and “have mercy on us…” Then you end by saying 3 times… “Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One…Have Mercy on us and on the whole”.

The 15 Mercy Stations are:

1. For the sake of His institution of the Eucharist as the memorial of His Passion…

1. For the sake of His agony in the Garden…

1. For the sake of His being scourged and crowned with thorns…

1. For the sake of His being condemned to death…

1. For the sake of His carrying the Cross…

1. For the sake of His falling under the weight of the Cross…

The Franciscan Crown aka The Seraphic Rosary, is highly indulgenced.

I like the Divine Mercy chaplet, chaplet of the Holy Wounds, chaplet of all Souls. I have great devotion to St. Philomena, so I pray her chaplet daily too. Also the chaplet of the infant Jesus of Prague.

The Divine Love Prayer

This prayer may be said on the Beads of the Holy Rosary. A ‘Glory Be’ replaces the ‘Our Father,’ while the ‘Hail Mary’ is replaced by these prayers to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. After the ‘Glory Be,’ each prayer is repeated ten times on the beads of the Holy Rosary until all nine ‘decades’ are completed.

There is a book called My Treasury of Chaplets that has chapters dedicated to different ones, very informative, tells you the history, shows a picture and even gives the prayers. God Bless.

I want to thank you for posting a link for Rosary of the Holy Wounds. I learned the Invocations years ago - and didn’t know or don’t recall hearing the initial prayer. However, the link gives us so much good info - (after awhile we read/collect so many books and pamphlets that sadly much valuable information gets overlooked.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Wounds of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, to heal the wounds of our souls.
Oh, my Jesus, pardon and mercy, through the merits of Thy Sacred Wounds.
