I think that they are the Catholic converts and re-verts here at CAF but someone on the Tiber Swim Team could probably provide a better definition…

#3 best supports my position as well; however, I first came back to my faith after being condemned by a Fundamentalist as to what Catholics are, “The Whore of Babylon”, and joined a Woman’s Study Group to learn more about my Catholic Faith. As a result my faith has become stronger, and I found this forum when doing a search regarding one of the topics we were studying. I am humbled by all the knowledge of other practicing Catholics, and am trying to get “up to speed” regarding what the Catholic Church is and my part in it.
 
The Tiber is a river that runs through Rome, fairly close to the Vatican. Converts to Catholicism are sometimes said to have “swum the Tiber.” Hence, Tiber Swim Team!
