How many saints are there and is there a comprehensive list?

i think 15,000 should easily take me up to my death if I persist that long in naming a saint for every Holy Communion.
And we do get a few new ones each year to add to the list.

I need this Saint for one who has redound God, but has his own issues with the Catholic Church. He would make a fine Priest if they were resolved. To be fair, he is jumping on anti catholic web sites and being fed error.

But his new found love for God is amazing, and he takes every opportunity to talk about God when there is an appropriate opening.
