When I taught religion to Primary 4 (age 9-10), I asked them whether they’ve watched the movie. I was surprised that almost all of them have watched it and they wanted to watch it again. We watched it together a few times. The girls always cried and very touched. Once, the recess bell rang already, so I asked them to go, and they told me “Jesus is more important than recess.” I was touched by their faith.
It really depends on the child and parents must decide whether their children are ready to watch it as the level of maturity of every child differs. And they must accompany and explain to them.
