I was never taught about the early Christian Saints growing up LDS. This one took me by surprise. Then I was fortunate to learn about others. Lives forgotten are very good to ponder. Since my wife is Catholic from Quebec and has Mohawk and Huron in her blood I had an epiphany on how the Gospel has truly been spread. I have an utmost respect for those who have spread it utilizing the Holy Spirit and the Church, the Body of Christ Jesus.

Yes, I always encourage the missionaries to go and see for themselves the early church fathers writings and to study the thousands of saints that were martyred for the faith throughout every century. I know there are many more than thousands, but we only have stories about thousands specifically.
