It would be more appropriate to ask if the person has ever picked this fight with Orthodox Jews, who have held that homosexuality is wrong since at least the days when the Levitical Law was given.
Sorry, but I have seen this sort of thing promoted elsewhere in this forum, have never seen it anywhere else, and am entirely at a loss to understand how Catholics think that advocating attacks on third parties is of benefit to anyone.
I agree with you, advocating attacks on third parties is not of benefit to anyone. But I also ask people if they have ever tried to convince an Orthodox/Eastern Christian of the doctrine of Sola Scriptura. Not because I am trying to promote “third party attacks” but to make the point that opposition to this new doctrine is not a “Roman Catholic invention”. SS is rejected by Jews, and all Churches founded by Apostles, such as the Eastern and Oriental Catholics, most of whom have no love lost on Rome.
