I’m just putting this up on the offchance that someone knows something about this.

I am interested in maybe training in the area of marriage counseling and delivering marriage prep courses to couples. I don’t really know where to start and just wondering what qualifications might be needed.

The best suggestion I have is for you to reach out to the office of marriage and family at your diocese.

Each diocese has its own requirements around marriage prep and the couples or people that they use to do the prep.

I know in our diocese they have an in-house training program, and couples had to have been married a certain number of years to be part of the marriage prep program.

In my old parish, the paid staff did group prep and then you had meetings with a deacon.
