For some time now I have been ‘interested’ in becomming a Catholic but have been unsure about how to go about it. I am currently an Anglican and have been for years but find myself drawn to Catholicism in a way that I’ve never experienced. Is there anyone out there who could point me in the right direction - whether it be via websites or books?!

hi im letisia i join the cathlic church last year. It is such a previlege to be catholic. First u have to go to a catholic church near u, and join the RCI classes. U have to join it for a year. U will learn such alot i know i did, dont be scared to ask questions thats the way u learn. I was SDA before i became a catholic. Its the best decision i could make. RCI classes will start just after easter. Have a great learning experience.

Thanks letisia.
If you were a SDA, how did your family and friends react to you becomming a Catholic? My family are all Anglicans and I don’t think they would take it too well.

Thanks also to Eireann for the link. That will help me a lot.

I too felt drawn to the Catholic Church. My family was of a different faith similiar to Ang. They are against me becoming Catholic and are not afraid to voice there opinion. Be prepared to walk this road alone.

It has to be done in person. 😉 *(Just being funny - I knew what you meant.) *

Go to the Catholic church nearest to your home and ask at the office for an appointment to speak to the priest. He will then direct you to the next steps that you need to take, whether that’s through an RCIA process, or private instruction of some kind, or a combination of the two.

Expect a certain amount of delay to get hold of a priest, and if it seems as though he’s not getting back to you in a reasonable amount of time, just keep trying and be persistent - they are pretty busy most of the time; it’s not you.

Welcome to the greatest adventure of your life! 👍

Thanks letisia.

My family was glad im a believer again so thy didnt argue alot about me being catholic. thy still want me to turned sda again that will never happened. I LOVE BEING CATHOLIC I WILL DIE CATHOLIC

this is the perfect time of year to begin the RCIA process, call your nearest Catholic parish and inquire.

until then, catechismclass.com will give you a leg up
